TRIO Mix

TRIO Mix, as the name implies, is a mixture of three primary components into an excellent general purpose soil amendment. It can also be used as the basic component in your custom potting medium. Hardwood bark fines, aged pine fines, and mushroom compost are blended in just the right ratio to create this multi-purpose material. It can be used right off the truck as delivered as an ingredient in your potting mix or can be added to existing planting beds as a soil amendment.

For potting applications, use TRIO along with your own custom ingredients when working with woody ornamentals, conifers, annuals, perennials, and groundcovers. This mix also provides an excellent pre-blended plant pit backfill.

As a soil amendment, planting beds can be topped with 3 to 4 inches of TRIO and then tilled into the existing material. The phosphorus and slow-release nitrogen found in our basic mix will stimulate root growth. The organic material contained in the mix will provide good soil aeration and much improved drainage. Add TRIO mix to any planting application where fill is required or to improve the texture and nutrient value of existing soils.

TRIO is available in full truckload quantities of 50 to 55 cubic yards. Loads may be split with more than one product being delivered on the same trailer. Full truckload deliveries can be made direct to the jobsite to eliminate extra handling costs to you.
