Shredded Red Cedar Mulch

Red Cedar Mulch is lightweight, easy to handle, and has an aromatic aroma which is pleasing to smell. It is produced as a by-product from sawmill operations and other processors of cedar logs. It is a natural product free from added coloring or dyes. Its color is best described as a mix of several shades of reddish-brown and blonde.

In recent years, Red Cedar Mulch has become very popular as a premium mulch which provides a unique look to landscaping work. It has become common in both commercial and residential applications.

Because of the nature of cedar, this mulch is longer lasting than hardwood bark mulch. It is more fibrous, yet it still retains a consistent, fine texture. Some small pieces of cedar wood are found in most loads. We attempt to keep these to a minimum.

Red cedar mulch provides good moisture retention and weed control. Also, because it does not decompose very quickly, it provides long-lasting, effective erosion control. It is considered by many to be an excellent alternative to shredded Cypress mulch.

As with our Hardwood Bark Mulch, we pride ourselves in providing a consistent product that you can depend on being the same from one truck load to the next. We source this product direct from the mills where it is produced and work only with suppliers who can provide high-quality material.

Red cedar mulch loads are available in truckload quantities of 100 cubic yards. Deliveries can be split with two different products being delivered on the same truck for a nominal extra charge.

On large projects, jobsite truckload deliveries can be arranged to eliminate extra handling costs for you.
